Nordic Chamber Music: Sweden
A Swedish Serenade
Seattle-based Skyros Quartet (“ravishing, articulate, sonically appealing approach that has passion more than sentiment” review) returns to the Nordic Chamber Music stage with a performance of string quartets by Swedish composers Wilhelm Stenhammar and Elfrida Andrée. Both works base movements on songs from each composer’s childhood. In true serenade form, soprano Laura Loge will join the quartet for composer-in-residence Steven Luksan's new arrangements of art songs by Laura Netzel and Steven Luksan.
